Bio

My background is in ballet and modern dance, performing in many stage shows from childhood through to university. Sport was an integral part of my life, competing at county Squash, Hockey, Netball, Swimming, Gymnastics and also Judo in my early years. Whilst supporting my son at a local Football Club, I volunteered to manage a football team and became a team manager for four seasons. In 1994 whilst working full-time I qualified as an Aerobics instructor and taught classes in the Reading area for fun after a day’s work in an office. I taught more than 6 step classes a week plus LBT, Aerobics and Body Conditioning classes.

Being a mum of two sons meant that I reduced my full-time hours in the office to be with them and coached children to swim and then competitive swimming for 7 years. My son is now an excellent swimming teacher himself and competed at a high level for the county. In October 2010 I started teaching swimming at Wellington Health & Fitness Club, then Aqua Aerobics, also working in the gym and appointed Fitness Manager in 2015.

My other sporting passion is cricket where I am most weekends watching, scoring and making the match teas with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy rambling with my family and dog, and participating in Les Mills Barre and BodyBalance classes.
