Our Zoom classes were once again very popular over the second lockdown, and as we have invested so much time and effort into upgrading our equipment and software, we feel it would be a waste not to carry these on in some capacity. We will be continuing with some zoom classes, and as some of you may have already seen, these have been highlighted on the Group Ex class timetable on our website. The classes which will be available to watch via Zoom have been highlighted in pink. These will run from Monday 7th December to 20th December. We will release a new timetable in the coming weeks to follow on from this. In the New Year, we will be increasing the number of classes available via Zoom, and we will update you on this as when we can confirm it.

Although we have just opened, it is with great regret that we have to close to swimming pool. The measures we are taking to correct the issue are on-going, but as it stands, there is a significant leak in a position we currently can’t locate. Initially we tried to keep the pool level maintained by filling the pool with external fresh water hose pipes, which caused the pool temperature to drop thoroughly. As a result, we have made the decision to keep the pool closed until the issue can be solved. We have a team of divers coming in soon to pressure test the tiling in the pool this week. Once this is done, we will have a better understanding of how long the pool will be out of action, but rest assured, we will keep you in the loop during this process via our social media platforms, the app and this blog.

From Saturday 12th December, we will be able to run additional bookable slots in the gym as the college would have broken up for Christmas. The app has already been updated for this, meaning you are now able to book these slots.

With regard to memberships, the option to freeze or unfreeze remains. If you have any questions or queries regarding this, don’t hesitate to contact reception or email our membership team at memberships@wellingtonfitness.co.uk

The staff 5 aside football team have their first game back tonight, and they look to pick up how they things before the second lockdown, getting back into their winning stride. Best of luck to the lads for tonight.

While Tier 2 restrictions have hindered our ability to resume normal everyday life, it has enabled us to take one step closer. I’m sure I speak on behalf of everyone that the re-opening of the club has been a big sigh of relief, alleviating the stresses of daily lockdown life. It has been a pleasure to watch a variety of sports restart, such as grass roots football training on the astros, as well as hourly bookable gym slots and group exercise classes. The next government announcement is due to be made on the 16th December, where I’m sure we will all be keeping our fingers crossed that another step will be taken back to the old way of life.

Once again, please feel free to leave any questions or feeback below.
