Welcome back to you all.

We would like to thank you all for sticking to our covid rules and for all the positive feedback from you. It has been such a pleasure to reopen our doors and have you all back with us.

Since reopening, the swimming pool has been as popular as ever with 96% of spaces booked during our first two weeks back. We have received a lot of positive feedback about having four lanes in the pool – even if it was a happy accident the first time! Uptake of gym slots rose from 52% to 65% in our first two weeks, and it has been lovely to see so many of you back with us. We would like to politely remind you, that we ask that you do not arrive for your booked slots too early and wait outside the club until invited in by a member of staff, this allows us to make sure the gym and pool are clean properly before you use them.

We would like to give a new member of gym staff, Megan Stanley, a warm welcome. Megan will be joining the gym team as a full time member of staff so you will be seeing a lot of her. Lana Dragicevic, our other new member of the gym team is settling in well and is no longer the new kid on the block. We are also still recruiting for additional fitness instructors to join us. Over the coming weeks and months, you will be seeing a number of new recreational assistants joining us and we are looking forward to them joining the team.

As many of you may be aware, we have recently started using a new class streaming platform called TeamUp. Those of you joining in with our virtual group exercise classes, Dumbell HIIT and Aerobics have been our two most popular classes and we are glad that so many of you have been joining us from the comfort of your own homes.

Fives is open on weekday mornings from 7am until 2pm for takeaways or outdoor service. Please do pop in for a drink and say hi to Shan, Anne Marie and Logan.

In preparation for the beginning of indoor group exercise classes, Studio 2 is being given a bit of TLC and freshen up, so it is spick and span for you all to return to. Keep an eye out for our group exercise timetable which will be published next week for the return of classes from 17/05.

Preparations for the outdoor pool to open for college students for their final half term and then our members from the summer are about to begin. We will update you regarding the opening date and outdoor pool passes nearer the time, so watch this space.

Gaby and Lewis are running a fully booked NPLQ course in May and are looking to run courses in July and August – if you would like to register your interest in the July or August courses then please email Gaby Moretti Chambers at gmmc@wellingtonfitness.co.uk.
